American Legion 100th Anniversary 2019 Proof Silver Dollar and Medal Set Released

The United States Mint as released the American Legion 100th Anniversary 2019 Proof Silver Dollar and Medal Set today. The set is $99.95 and available through the Mint directly. A limit of one unit per household is in place and there will be 10,000 total sets available from the Mint.

The new set consists of the American Legion Proof silver dollar as well as the American Veterans silver medal. The 2019 American Legion Proof Silver Dollar was initially released in March 2019 (you can get it here from the Mint). That coin, produced in the Philadelphia mint, has a production limit of 400,000 across all product sets, including this upcoming coin and medal set. Meanwhile, the American Veterans Silver Medal will have a production limit of just 10,000 which is the same number of this set.

Like other special sets from the US Mint, this one will come in a commemorative holder and comes with a certificate of authenticity from the Mint.

Finally, for those who want to have NGC grade the set, you can send it still sealed in its Mint packaging to the grading company. They will have special labels for the set available. You can read more about that program here.
