The United States Mint has announced that the next public meeting of the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) will take place tomorrow, June 18, 2019, in Washington D.C. The meeting is open to the public and those admitted into the conference room are on a first come first served basis.
The meeting has a primary agenda of reviewing and discussing candidate designs for two congressional medals as well as the reverse for the 2020 Basketball Hall of Fame Commemorative Coin Program.
Here is the rough agenda but it is subject to change:
- Review and discussion of candidate designs for the Anwar El Sadat Congressional Gold Medal;
- Review and discussion of candidate designs for the Steve Gleason Congressional Gold Medal; and
- Review and discussion of candidate designs for the reverse of the 2020 Basketball Hall of Fame Commemorative Coin Program.
The meeting is scheduled from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Eastern and will be held at the United States Mint Headquarters. That is located at 801 9th Street NW, Washington, D.C., 20220. The meeting will take place at the second floor conference room. There is room for approximately 50 members of the public in the conference room itself. Note that it is a listen only engagement and that you must have your phone muted so as not to disrupt the meeting itself.

The congressional medals and commemorative coins are slated to be produced next year as part of ongoing programs. CCAC provides input on designs and recommends them for consideration.
