The James Monroe Presidential Silver Medal has been slated to go on sale Thursday, August 8, 2019 by the United States Mint. The medal, the third released in 2019, depicts the fifth President of the United States and the last of the country’s founding fathers.
Like the other Presidential Silver Medals, the James Monroe medal is one ounce of 99.9% pure silver. It measures 1.6″ in diameter and features a plain edge. The Obverse was designed and engraved by Moritz Furst while the Reverse was designed and engraved by John Reich.
Sales of this latest Presidential Medal will begin at Noon Eastern, 9:00 am Pacific on August 8, 2019. As with previous medals in the series, there is no Mint production limit on them nor is there a household limit. The medal is priced at $39.95.

This medal series began in 2018 with the release of two medals. For 2019 and beyond, there will be four medals released each year.
