Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) has released an update to iOS and Android apps. While mostly focused on bug fixes and other performance improvements, the update rolls out a key new feature: Submission tracking.
Now within the app you can easily track your orders that you have submitted to NGC for grading, foregoing the website to do it and being able to do it all from the app. This feature requires that you be signed into your account on the app but once done, you can just tap the Submission Tracking button to get progress.
Once you tap that button, you will be taken to the submission section of the site where you can then tap on a submission order and see the status of that grading order.
Previously the only way you could track your grading submissions was to navigate to the NGC site. That’s great if you happen to be on your PC or Mac but if you are on-the-go, it made it a bit more challenging. Now you can basically check on your submissions anytime from anywhere so long as you have your phone handy. It is a great and welcome addition.
Aside from this new feature, you won’t find anything else new within it. As mentioned, it is mostly focused on performance improvements.
The app is free for both Android and iOS. To get it for Android, go to the Google Play Store. For iPhone, head over to the App Store. For those of you who use iOS, the app is also optimized for iPad.
Joining NGC is easy and can be done through the company’s site. Associate Membership is $25 per year and gives you the ability to directly submit your coins for grading without having to go through a dealer. Other membership levels give you discounts on those submissions.
