American Samoa Quarter Bags & Rolls Sales Start February 3rd

The United States Mint will open sales of the new National Park of American Samoa America the Beautiful Quarter on Monday, February 3, 2020. Sales will begin at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific.

Collectors will have several product options available when sales begin on the 3rd. 100-coin bags will be available with the Denver, Philadelphia, and San Francisco mint marks as well as roll sets from the various mint production facilities.

Here is a breakdown and links to each of the products that will be available.

The National Park of American Samoa Quarter will be the first America the Beautiful Quarter for 2020. In total, five ATB coins will be offered in 2020, the last year of full production of the series. A single and final Quarter will be released in 2021.

The reverse (tails) design depicts a Samoan fruit bat mother hanging in a tree with her pup. The image evokes the remarkable care and energy this species puts into its offspring. The design is intended to promote awareness to the species’ threatened status resulting from habitat loss and commercial hunting. The National Park of American Samoa is the only park in the U.S. national park system the Samoan fruit bat calls home. Inscriptions are “NATIONAL PARK,” “AMERICAN SAMOA,” “2020,” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”

As has been the case with other bag & roll releases, there will be no limit on the production of these products. Further, there are no household limits either so you can order as many as you like when they go on sale February 3rd.
