Mint Sales Report – May 17, 2020

The United States Mint has released its weekly sales report for the 7-day period ending May 17, 2020. The report shows that the 2020 Silver and 2020 Proof Sets remain the top sellers for the Mint, continuing their sales dominance over the past six week.

The top seller this week was the 2020 Silver Proof Set. 7,876 of the sets, which includes the 2020-W Jefferson Nickel in Reverse Proof, were sold during the week, brining its total sales to 198,762. It replaced last week’s top seller, the 2020 Proof Set, as the number one seller for the week. The 2020 standard Proof Set still sold well however. An additional 7,005 of them were sold for the week, bringing its sales total to 256,811.

In a distant third was the 2020 America the Beautiful Quarter Silver Proof Set. 1,199 of the sets were sold for the week ending May 17, 2020. That brings its total sales up to 52,187.

Here then is the complete top eleven selling items for the week. Note that this week there are eleven items as the 2019 American Liberty Silver Medal and the 2019 American Innovation Dollar Reverse Proof for New Jersey both sold the same amount to tie for 10th place.
