NCIC – Armed Robbery in Portland Leads to Dozens of Stolen Coins

The Numismatic Crime Information Center and the Portland, Oregon Police Department are asking for any information the public may have on an armed robbery that took place on August 25, 2020. The theft happened at Affordable Jewelry and Precious Metals located in East Portland. The theft left the store’s manager severely injured and dozens of coins being stolen. There was also approximately $10,000 in cash stolen in the robbery. There is no word on the health status of the store manager.

The suspects in the theft were two white males and both are approximately 5′ 10″. One of them had short brown hair and the other had darker, wavy hair. Below are two surveillance camera images from the robbery. In the robbery, the first suspect entered the store and after injuring the store manager, used the door buzzer to allow the second suspect into the store to perform the robbery.
