Mint Sales Report – September 13, 2020

The United States Mint has released its weekly sales report for the 7-day period ending Sunday, September 13, 2020. Unsurprisingly, annual sets and precious metal products continue to be top sellers for the Mint. This has been the case for much of 2020. Overall the Mint sold slightly more products than last week, with 5.2 million items sold in the week.

For the second consecutive week, the 2020 Proof Set was the top selling item for the Mint. 6,652 of the sets were sold last week, brining its total sales for the year to just shy of 350,000 (349,494). Following the set as the second top selling item was the 2020-W American Eagle Silver Proof 1-Ounce bullion coin, the same position that it held last week. The Mint registered 4,015 of the coins sold last week, pushing its total sales to 345,963 for 2020.

In third was the 2020 Silver Proof Set. 3,808 of these sets were sold last week, putting its total sales for the year at 265,191. This was followed by the 2020-W American Eagle Silver Uncirculated 1-Ounce bullion coin, which had 2,486 sales in the last week.

Looking through the rest of the top ten selling items, the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Proof Silver Dollar continued to have strong sales as did the two colorized Basketball Hall of Fame colorized products. These three products have been in the top ten since their releases last month.

Here is the completely top ten selling items for the Mint last week.
