The Numismatic Crime Information Center (NCIC) is reported a missing or stolen Express Mail package that contained multiple graded coins. The package was being shipped from Virginia to New Jersey. It was shipped on August 28, 2020 and the package arrived at the Virginia Distribution Center for the United States Postal Service the following day. However, since then, the Express Mail package has not being located or had any movement.

In the Express Mail package were the following coins:

If there is good news in this situation it is that all of these coins are graded by either PCGS or NGC. That should make it more difficult to simply dump the coins if they have indeed been stolen. Also, many of these coins are quite rare which will make “getting rid of them” a bit more difficult than more common coins. Collectors and dealers are encouraged to keep an eye out locally and online for any of these coins.

If you have any information on these coins or packages, you can contact Doug Davis at 817-723-7231 or Doug@numismaticcrimes.org with details.

The Numismatic Crime Information Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation whose mission is to serve as a national and international resource for collectors, dealers and law enforcement in the education, prevention and investigation of crimes involving coins, paper money, tokens, medals and related numismatic items.
