United States Mint Announces Pricing For Mayflower 400th Anniversary Coins and Medals

The United States Mint has released the pricing for the majority of the commemoratives in the upcoming Mayflower voyage 400th anniversary product set. The products, which were announced last month, is a collaboration between the United States Mint and the Royal Mint of England, honoring the voyage of the MayFlower and the settlement of what would end up being the United States. There will be a total of four different products from the Mint, two of which will feature a coin from the United States Mint and the Royal Mint of England. All of the products go on sale November 17, 2020 at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific.

The Silver Proof Coin and Silver Medal Set will be priced at $150. This set contains a Silver £2 coin from the Royal Mint and a 99.99% silver medal from the United States Mint. There is a product production limit of just 9,200 sets and there will be a one set per household limit.

The two coin Gold Proof Set does not have a pricing available as it will be dependent upon the spot price of gold at release. Based on the price today, you can expect this set to be somewhere around $2,500 when it is released. The set contains a $10 gold Proof coin from the United States Mint and a £25 gold Proof coin from the Royal Mint. 4,850 of the sets will be produced and there will be a household limit of one set when they go on sale.

The Mayflower 400th Anniversary Gold Reverse Proof Coin will feature a 1/4-ounce gold Proof coin from the United States States Mint. Pricing of the coin has not been released but you can expect it to be around $700 based on gold prices today. The Mint has also not released the product and mintage limits for this coin but will do so prior to release.

Finally, there is the Mayflower 400th Anniversary Silver Reverse Proof Medal. This medal will be priced at $76.00 when sales start on November 17th. it is a 99.99% 1-ounce silver medal. There is a production limit of 20,000 medals and there will be a limit of one medal per household.

With these coins and medals being the first collaboration between the US Mint and the Royal Mint of England, sales of the products are expected to be strong with quick sell outs likely.
