Money Museum Participates in First Friday Downtown

The American Numismatic Association (ANA) has announced that it will be opening the Money Museum as part of Colorado Springs, Colorado’s First Friday Downtown. The event will allow the general public to view three main exhibits at the Money Museum free-of-charge starting April 2 through September during the hours of 4:00 PM through to 7:00 PM. The Money Museum and the ANA are located in Colorado Springs.

Discover how cultures have developed through the lens of numismatics – coins, banknotes, tokens, medals and more. The Money Museum, located adjacent to the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College, explores art, history and culture through the prism of money. Beginning April 2 and continuing through September, patrons can view fascinating exhibits and rare specimens for free from 4 to 7 p.m. during First Friday Downtown.

Three main exhibits are on display at the Money Museum:

First Friday Downtown features new art, live music, and special events on the first Friday of every month at dozens of galleries, retailers and nonprofits throughout Downtown Colorado Springs.

The Money Museum is located at 818 N. Cascade Ave. Current museum hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Regular admission is $8 ($6 for seniors and students). Kids 12 and under are always free. For more information, call (719) 632-2646 or visit money.org/money-museum.

The Money Museum is operated by the nonprofit American Numismatic Association, which is dedicated to encouraging the study and collection of coins and related items.
