The Numismatic Crime Information Center (NCIC) is asking for the public’s help in locating a stolen or missing United States Postal Service (USPS) on its way from Nevada to Missouri. The package was reported lost or stolen last week and contained four PCGS graded Morgan Dollars.

The package was sent via USPS Express Mail with a signature requirement from Nevada to Festus, Missouri. The package’s last scan was in Reno, Nevada and the United States Postal Service has had no further movement or action on the package.

In the shipment to Missouri where four Morgan Dollars, all of which had been graded by PCGS. Here are the coin details along with their PCGS certification numbers.

Collectors and dealers are asked to be on the look out for these coins as, if they were stolen, the thief could try to get rid of them quickly at a price “too good to be true”. Dealers, coin shop owners, and pawn shop owners in particular are encouraged to be on the look out for one of these rare coins coming into their shop. The fact that these coins were graded by PCGS should make it easier to locate them should a sale attempt happen.

Collectors and dealers have been instrumental in located several stolen packages this year, with dozens of coins recovered. Most of the time, these recoveries happen because collectors and dealers are on the look out for them.

If you have any information on these coins or see any of them in your shop or online, you can contact Doug Davis at 817-723-7231 or Doug@numismaticcrimes.org with details. You can also contact your local police department who can contact NCIC.

The Numismatic Crime Information Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation whose mission is to serve as a national and international resource for collectors, dealers and law enforcement in the education, prevention and investigation of crimes involving coins, paper money, tokens, medals and related numismatic items.
