The United States Mint has released its weekly numismatic product sales report for the week ending June 27, 2021. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. The report shows that the Mint sold 20,394 products for the week that ended on June 27th with the top selling product a bit of a surprise. Unlike last week, there was a mix of previous year’s products in the top ten sales list.

Taking the top spot in sales, surprisingly, was the 2019 American Liberty High Relief 24K Gold 1-Ounce coin. 12,608 of the coins were sold, more than doubling its sales total since its release in 2019. While that is still approximately half of the 50,000 production limit of the coin, the Mint is now listing it as unavailable on its site. This is likely due to the Mint now having to produce more of the coins to satisfy the production limit – and potentially these sales in the last week. Sales of this coin also show that demand for bullion coins are still in very high demand.

A bit of normality with the 2nd and 3rd best sellers for the Mint last week. The 2021 Proof Set was the second most bought product last week, with 2,899 sets sold. That puts its total sales now at 309,395 for the year. Meanwhile, the 2021 Silver Proof Set had another 1,306 sets sold in the last week, making it the third best seller. For the year, the premium proof set has not sold 208,821 sets which is likely far more than most thought would be sold due to its high price this year.

The fourth top seller was the 2019 American Innovation Dollar Proof Set. 1,123 sets were sold last week with sales of the 2019 set now topping the 130,000 mark (130,513). Bullion products returned to round out the top five in sales for the Mint last week in the form of the 2019 American Eagle Gold Proof 4-Coin Set. An additional 490 sets were sold, putting its sales total at 8,825 since its release two years ago. Unsurprisingly it has also gone to being unavailable by the Mint on its site. With no production limit however, if the Mint sold all of its remaining stock of the 4-coins set, they are likely gone for good.

Here is the complete top ten selling products for the United States Mint for last week:
