The United States Mint has updated its daily bullion sales report to Monday, October 4, 2021. This week, the report was updated one day later than normal. The bullion sales report reflects bullion coins that the Mint sold to Authorized Purchasers for the previous week and is different than the weekly numismatic product report. This week’s report shows that the Mint sold 473,000 bullion coins to Authorized Purchasers.
The top selling bullion product for the Mint last week was the one ounce silver American Eagle. 396,000 of the coins were sold to Authorized Purchasers. That puts the 2021 sales total for the coin at 26.07 million coins. The second top seller was its gold counterpart, the one ounce gold American Eagle. It saw sales of 59,500 last week. That puts its sales total for the year at 873,000. The only other American Eagle product that saw sales last week was the 1/10th ounce fractional coin. 5,000 of these were sold last week. The 1/2 ounce, 1/25th ounce and platinum American Eagle did not register any sales.
Rounding out the bullion sales report was the American Buffalo. This one ounce bullion gold coin had 12,500 coins sold in the last week. That puts its total sales for 2021 at 272,000.
