First Look! 2022 American Eagle Platinum Coin

The United States Mint has released the high resolution images of the upcoming 2022 American Eagle Platinum bullion coin. The design of the coin is identical to the design of last year’s coin and, indeed, it is the same it has been since is release in 2002. The coin carries a face value of $100 and is made of 99.9% pure platinum.

Like other bullion coins offered by the United States Mint, the platinum Eagle carries no Mint Mark but it is produced at the West Point Facility.

The Obverse of the coin features the Statue of Liberty and carries the 2022 year mark along with LIBERTY and “In God We Trust”.
