Pre-sales will being on March 24th at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific on the Mint’s website. They will remain available for purchase until April 25th or until the production limit is reached. For this coin, only 25,000 will be available out of a total mintage of 400,00 across all products. A strict household limit of 1 coin will be in place. The Hall of Honor colorized dollar is priced at $95.00 and shipping is expected to occur in early June.

This particular coin will likely sell out within minutes.

The colorized coin will be just the second ever offered by the United States Mint. In 2020, the Mint offered a colorized commemorative honoring the Basketball Hall of Fame. For the Purple Heart colorized commemorative, it will feature the same Reverse design of the standard proof and uncirculated silver dollar. However, the medal on the Reverse will be colored purple, just like the medal itself.
