The United States Mint has released its weekly numismatic sales report for the seven-day period ending on Sunday, March 27, 2022. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. This week’s report shows that the Mint sold 62,536 numismatic products in the last week. The report shows that the top ten selling products were all releases from this year.
For the year, the Mint has now sold 8.844 million products to investors and collectors.
Taking the top sales spot in the Mint’s sales report is the colorized Purple Heart Hall of Honor Proof silver dollar. The coin saw sales of 24,995 of the 25,000 available. Indeed, the Mint’s site now shows this as unavailable for purchase. Meanwhile, the second and third top sellers were also new releases in the last week. The Dr. Sally Ride 3-Roll set took the second position with 7,609 sets sold while the 2-roll set was just behind it with 5,930 sets sold. Further down in the top ten, in the seventh and eighth top selling products were the 100-coin bags for the latest release in the American Women Quarter Program.
The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor commemorative products continued to sell well this past week with the proof silver dollar taking the fourth position and the proof half dollar taking sixth. Further down, the uncirculated dollar and uncirculated half dollar rounding out the top ten selling products list.
