The United States Mint has updated its weekly bullion sales report for the week ending Sunday, August 7, 2022. The bullion sales report reflects bullion American Eagle and American Buffalo coins that the Mint sold to Authorized Purchasers for the previous week and is different than the weekly numismatic product report. According to this week’s report, the United States Mint sold 485,500 bullion coins in the past week to Authorized Purchasers. This is the first time that the report has been updated in three weeks with the last update coming the week ending July 17th.
With the exception of the gold 1/25-ounce American Eagle, the Mint reported all bullion American Eagle and American Buffalo coins had sales in the past week. These were led by the one-ounce silver Eagle with 425,000 coins sold. It was followed by its one-ounce gold counterpart with 26,500 coins reported sold. Turning to the American Buffalo, it had strong sales for the week at 16,500. That puts its total sales for 2022 at 299,000.
