The United States Mint has released its weekly Numismatic Product Sales Report for the seven-day period ending Sunday, November 27, 2022. The report covers numismatic product sales, such as commemorative coins and annual sets, by the Mint. It is separate from the bullion sales report. According to this week’s report, the Mint sold 16,311 numismatic products to investors and collectors in the past week.
For 2022, the United States Mint has sold 11.264 million numismatic products.
The 2022 Uncirculated Coin Set was the top selling numismatic product for the United States Mint last week. According to the report, the Mint sold 3,572 sets, putting total sales at 201,081 since the set’s release earlier this year. This was followed closely by the premium 2022 Silver Proof Set. According to the Mint’s report, 3,063 of those sets were sold in the last week, putting total sales at 220,492. The third top seller was also the Mint’s latest release: The 2022 American Innovation Dollar Reverse Proof Set. The Mint reported that 1,672 of the sets were sold in the last week, putting total sales at 40,999.
The 2022 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set continues its slow sales pace – but remains available despite its limit of 50,000 sets. The Mint’s report indicates that 1,172 of the ultra premium sets were sold last week, putting total sales at 35,940. Rounding out the top five in sales was the 2022 American Innovation Dollar Proof Set. This set, which is the standard set and not the reverse proof set mentioned above, had reported sales of 927 sets. Added to previous sales total, this year’s American Innovation Dollar Proof Set has now had total sales of 69,362.
