The United States Mint has released its weekly Numismatic Product Sales Report for the seven days ending Sunday, August 13, 2023. The report covers numismatic product sales by the Mint, such as commemorative coins and annual sets. It is separate from the bullion sales report. According to the Mint’s report, an impressive 609,179 numismatic products were sold in the past week to collectors and investors. Sales were dominated by the Mint’s latest releases, the proof Morgan and Peace Dollars. Further, seven of the top ten selling products were released this year.
Taking the top sales spot was the proof 2023-S Morgan Dollar. 292,189 of the available 400,000 coins were sold in its first week of availability, It was followed by the proof 2023-S Peace Dollar with 274,156 coins sold. Rounding out the top three in sales was the 2023 American Liberty Silver Medal, also released last week. According to the Mint’s report, 21,308 of the medals were sold.
The fourth top seller last week, according to the Mint’s report, was the 2023 American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin. The Mint reported that 8,842 of the 12,500 available coins were sold last week. Completing the top five was the 2023 Proof Set The Mint reported that another 5,497 sets were sold last week, putting total sales at 245,263.
