The highly anticipated 2023 Morgan and Peace Dollar two-coin Reverse Proof Set will be available starting next week. The two-coin set will be available on Thursday, November 9th at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific. Only 250,000 sets will be available, and it is expected to sell out quickly despite its high price.

The two-coin set is priced at $185 and will be available directly from the Mint on its website.

The Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars returned to the U.S. Mint in 2021, the centennial marker of the last striking of the Morgan Silver Dollar and the first of the Peace Silver Dollar. The 2023 issue marks the first time either a Morgan or Peace Dollar has ever featured a reverse-proof finish which contrasts a brilliant, reflective subject against a frosted background. These coins are shipped straight from the U.S. Mint to your door with a certificate of authenticity.

While this year marks the first time a two-coin reverse proof set will be available, it may not be the last. The United States Mint is offering a subscription to the set for future releases. In fact, in reviewing the 2024 release schedule, another two-coin reverse proof set is scheduled to be released next Fall. 2024 will also see releases of uncirculated and proof varieties of both coins late in the year.

If you have yet to subscribe to the set this year and want to purchase one, you must be on the Mint’s site by Noon Eastern. It is recommended that you log into the site earlier so you can be put into the waiting room to ensure you have the opportunity to make the purchase. If you have subscribed, you should have received address verification from the Mint earlier this week. On release day, you will be charged for the set and will not have to log in to the Mint’s site to make the purchase.
