Numismatic Guaranty Corporation, or NGC, has announced a new label and designation for the upcoming Pride of Two Nations release by the United States Mint and Royal Canadian Mint. The labels, which will feature both the United States and Canadian flags, will be available at no additional charge to the normal grading service.
The Pride of Two Nations two-coin set is going to be released on July 3, 2019 and features a silver 2019-W American Eagle in an enhance reverse proof finish along with a silver 2019 Maple Leaf with a modified proof finish. Both coins are .999 pure silver. The set will be the first set sold by the United States Mint to feature a bilingual Certificate of Authenticity, with it being in English and in French. The set will be sold for $139.95 directly from the United States Mint.
The mint has enabled the product page for the two-coin set now and you can sign up for a reminder when it goes live on July 3rd.
As is the case with most special labels and designations from NGC, the grading company has clearly outlined how the coins will qualify for them.
- The coins must be received in the sealed Mint shipping box to qualify for the location pedigree. All coins submitted must be graded.
- Submit the coins from this set under the Modern grading tier or higher on a single submission form. Either the US or World box may be selected.
- If you would like Mint packaging returned, select “Return Mint Packaging” on the NGC Submission Form. The fee is $5 plus the cost of shipping.
If you are a member of NGC, you can submit the coins directly yourself. If you are not, you will need to take the sealed Mint box to a local coin dealer that can submit it for you. Membership to NCG starts at just $20 and will give you direct submission privileges.
