After several weeks of discussion and announcements, the United States Mint will begin selling the two-coin Pride of Two Nations set today. The set will contain a 2019-W in an enhanced reverse proof finish as well as a Royal Canadian Mint 2019 Silver Maple Leaf in a modified proof finish. Both coins are .999 pure silver. It is priced at $139.95 and you can find it here on the Mint’s site.
Sales for the set will start at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific. There is a mintage limit of 110,000 and a 100,000 product limit on this set. 100,000 of the sets will be available here in the US while 10,000 will be sold in Canada. There is a strict 5 item limit on this product which will help assure that collectors will have a reasonable chance at getting one. If you are interested in the set, I highly recommend being by your computer when sales start to assure you get one.
This is the first time the United States Mint and the Royal Canadian Mint have teamed up on a product offering but not the first time our Mint has done it. Earlier this year, the US Mint teamed up with the Royal Australian Mint for a two-coin set commemorating the Apollo 11 moon mission.
