The first of the 2020 American Innovation Dollar Reverse Proof coins will be going on sale next week at the United States Mint. The special finish coin for Connecticut will be available starting at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific on July 21, 2020. The coin will be priced at $11.50 per coin with a household limit of 5 coins. Only 50,000 of the coins will be minted.
The Connecticut American Innovation Dollar was designed by Richard Masters with Renata Gordon being the sculptor-engraver of the coin. The coin recognizes the Gerber Variable Scale.
The release of this coin marks the fifth in the American Innovation series which started in 2018. It is the first of the 2020 dollars to be released with three more slated for release later this year. The Mint, however, has released all of the designs for this year’s coins which you can find here.
As with previous years, the Reverse Proof coin will come in a four-panel holder with the Certificate of Authenticity printed on within that holder.
The new Connecticut Revers Proof is available enow and you can go to the product page to order yours. Further, you can also sign up for the Enrollment Program for the American Innovation Reverse Proof coins. This will assure that you get one and when you enroll in the program, you get free shipping. This is the best, safest way to assure you get one (or more) of these coins when they are released. If you did enroll for the series, you should have received an email from the Mint letting your know that your order is being processed.
