NCIC Offers Reward for Stolen Gold Coin

The Numismatic Crime Information Center (NCIC) is offering a $5,000 reward for the recovery of a rare 1853 $20 United States Office of Gold coin. The left happened last month at the Denver Coin Show held in Denver, Colorado. There were no details shared in the bulletin on how the coin was stolen or from the dealer it was stolen. The last update to the report was on October 28, 2020 and only indicates that it was stolen at the Denver Coin Show.

The rare coin was graded by PCGS and has the certification number 107684435. Collectors and dealers are strongly encouraged to keep an eye out for this coin. It is also one of the few times that NCIC has been authorized to offer such a high reward for the return of the coin.
