The next coin in the American Innovation Dollar series is set to be released later today. The Virginia American Innovation Dollar, honoring the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, recognized as an engineering marvel of the modern world. Sales of bags and rolls of the coin will start at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific. The coin will be available directly from the United States Mint.
For those who are enrolled in the American Innovation Dollar Bag & Roll program, check your email. The Mint has likely already emailed you to let you know your order has been placed.
Opened in 1964 and spanning more than 17 miles of open water, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel connects southeastern Virginia to the Delmarva Peninsula. It consists of 12 miles of low-level trestle, two mile-long tunnels, two bridges, two miles of causeway, and four man-made islands.

In all, there will be four products for the Virginia American Innovation Dollar available when sales begin next week:
- 25-Coin Roll (Philadelphia) – $34.50
- 25-Coin Roll (Denver) – $34.50
- 100-Coin Bag (Philadelphia) – $117.50
- 100-Coin Bag (Denver) – $117.50
Although the American Innovation Dollar is not released into general circulation it is considered a circulating coin by the United States Mint. Therefore, there are no product production limits on any of these products nor are there household limits. All of these products will remain available through the end of 2020.
