CCAC To Review 2026 Semiquincentennial Designs in July 15-16th Meeting

The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) will be holding a two-day public meeting this month. The meeting is slated for July 15-16 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern both days. The committee will be meeting in person in Washington, D.C., and all interested members of the public are welcome to watch a live stream of the meeting on the Mint’s YouTube channel. The primary agenda item for the two-day meeting is review of the 2026 Semiquincentennial coinage.

The agenda for the meeting currently stands as follows:

  • Review and discussion of candidate designs for the 2026 Semiquincentennial Dime (July 15)
  • Review and discussion of candidate designs for two of the five 2026 Semiquincentennial Quarters commemorating the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution (July 15)
  • Review and discussion of candidate designs for the 2026 American Eagle Platinum Proof Coin (July 15)
  • Review and discussion of candidate designs for the 2026 Semiquincentennial Half Dollar (July 16)
  • Review and discussion of candidate designs for the 2026 Semiquincentennial “Best of the Mint” Silver Medals (July 16)

Readers may recall that the Commission of the Fine Arts released candidate images of the 2026 Lincoln Cent and Jefferson Nickel back in February. These were reviewed by the CCAC in a meeting later that month. With this month’s meeting, the majority of the remaining circulating coinage for 2026 will be reviewed.
