The American Woman Quarter series penultimate release of 2024, honoring Celia Cruz, will be available next week. The fourteenth overall coin in the series will be available on Wednesday, August 7th. The quarter will be available in 40-coin rolls and 100-coin bags starting at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific, on release day.
The American Women Quarter Program is a four-year program honoring significant women and their contributions to the United States.
Celia Cruz was a Cuban-American singer, cultural icon, and one of the most popular Latin artists of the 20th century. Internationally known as the “Queen of Salsa,” Cruz’s numerous honors and awards include three American and four Latin Grammy awards, the Presidential Medal of Arts, and countless lifetime achievement awards.
