The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) has released candidate images for the 2022 National Purple Heart Hall of Honor commemorative coins. The law authorizing the coins was passed late last year. In detail, the law states that no more than 50,000 of the $5 gold coins will be produced. H.R.1830 – National Purple Heart Hall of Honor Commemorative Coin Act Passes Senate

The United States Senate has unanimously passed H.R. 1830, the National Purpose Heart Hall of Honor Commemorative Coin Act. The act was passed on November 16, 2020 and now heads to the President for signature. When signed, it would authorize the commemorative coins to be made by the United States Mint in 2022.
