The United States Mint has released the latest sales report and the Mint’s two newest Numismatic products have made their debut. The recently released 2019-S American Eagle Silver Proof not only appeared for the first time in the report, it took the top sales honors for the 7-day period ending August 11, 2019. 72,463 of the San Francisco minted bullion coins were sold during the week, pushing it well clear of all others in the top ten.
Second, and also debuting this week, was the Monroe Presidential Silver Medal. That commemorative sold a respectable 6,527 units in its first week of availability which pushed it ahead of the third place Native American $1 coin and currency set. That set has now sold 32,902 of the 50,000 available, adding another 4,263 units for this past week.
The regular sales leaders, the 2019 Proof Set and 2019 Silver Proof Set were fifth and sixth in sales this week, outpaced by the new products. The Proof set added another 4,120 units to its total, bringing it to 382,906 in total for 2019. The Silver Proof Set added 2,948 to push its sales total to 285,376.
