The United States Mint opened up sales for the 2019 Limited Silver Proof Set yesterday. The $149.95 8-coin set is one of the more unique numismatic collectibles that the Mint offers and makes a great addition to any collection.
This limited Silver Proof Set consists of the following coins from 2019:
- American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof Coin
- America the Beautiful Quarters (5 coins in total)
- Kennedy Half Dollar
- Roosevelt Dime
All eight of the coins are in Proof state and all come from the San Francisco Mint, the main production site for Proof coins for the United States Mint. The set comes in a black leatherette case with a Certificate of Authenticity from the Mint.
As a reminder, the five America the Beautiful Quarters that are in this set are from this year. They are for Lowell National Historical Park in Massachusetts; American Memorial Park in the Northern Mariana Islands; War in the Pacific National Historical Park in Guam; San Antonio Missions National Historical Park in Texas; and Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness in Idaho.
Production of this special set is limited to 50,000 in total. The good news is as of this post, the sets remain available on the Mint’s site and there is no household limit. If you are thinking of picking up a set or two for gifts, its advised to go get them now while they are still available.
