The United States Mint has updated its production schedule for May and June 2020, setting release dates for several Numismatic products over the next 8 weeks. Last month, the Mint stopped all production of Numismatic products as it dealt with the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. At that point, the production schedule moved all products scheduled after April 2020 into a “TBD” status.
In all, twelve products on the schedule have been updated with anticipated release dates. Readers are cautioned to take these dates as suggestions and not firmly set as the Mint may have to revisit should Coronavirus once again impact production of these products. Below is the current revised schedule:
- May 18 – Coin Rolls Collector Box
- May 18 – Weir Farm National Historic Site Rolls and Bags
- May 18 – Weir Farm National Historic Site Five Ounce Silver Coin
- June 1 – Kennedy Half Dollar 200-Coin Bag
- June 1 – Kennedy Half Dollar 2-Roll Set
- June 4 – Basketball Hall of Fame Enhance Uncirculated Clad Half Dollar Kids Set
- June 4 – Basketball Hall of Fame Proof $5 Gold Coin
- June 4 – Basketball Hall of Fame Proof Clad Half Dollar
- June 4 – Basketball Hall of Fame Proof Silver Dollar
- June 4 – Basketball Hall of Fame Uncirculated $5 Gold Coin
- June 4 – Basketball Hall of Fame Uncirculated Clad Half Dollar
- June 4 – Basketball Hall of Fame Uncirculated Silver Dollar
The update to the schedule is welcome news to collectors, especially in regards to the highly anticipated Basketball Hall of Fame set of products. Those were originally set for release in March but became one of the delayed products due to the Mint’s shutdown due to COVID-19.
