After a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the United States Mint is gearing up to start up Numismatic product sales once again. The first of these products will be a handful of new ones for the America the Beautiful Quarter series for Weir Farm National Historic Site. Rolls, Bags, and the five-ounce coin all go on sale next Monday, May 18, 2020. Sales will begin promptly at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific.
The Weir Farm ATB Quarter is the second in the series for 2020 and is the 52nd coin released as part of the America the Beautiful program.
Weir Farm National Historic Site is associated with the development of American Impressionism during the height of the artistic movement at the end of the 19th century. The park was home to three generations of American artists beginning with Julian Alden Weir, who acquired the farm in 1882.
