The United States Mint has released is weekly sales report this morning for the 7-day period ending May 24, 2020. The report shows that, unexpectedly, the latest America the Beautiful Quarter products for Weir Farm occupied many of the top 10 sales slots for the week.
The top selling product, and somewhat of a surprise, was the 2020 America the Beautiful Silver Uncirculated 5-ounce coin for Weir Farm. A total of 11,818 of these were sold in its first week of availability. While the 5-ounce coins generally sell well, this bullion product likely got a boost from the ongoing demand for precious medals during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
In second, falling from first last week, is the 2020 Silver Proof Set. An additional 11,457 of these sets were sold last week, pushing its total sales to 210,219. The Silver Proof Set and the 5-Ounce Weir Silver coin were the only two products this week to break the 10,000 units sold barrier.
In third place was the Weir Farm 3-roll set with 6,332 sets sold while in forth was the 2020 Proof Set. The rest of the top 10 in sales were occupied by America the Beautiful products, with the 2020 ATB Silver Proof Set finishing in tenth.
