The United States Mint has released its latest sales report. The report covers sales of Numismatic products by the Mint for the 7-day period ending June 7, 2020. In what should be to no surprise, the new Basketball Hall of Fame commemoratives and 2020 Kennedy Half Dollar products dominated the Top 10 in sales. All of those products were enjoying their first week of availability in this week’s report. In fact, only one item in this week’s Top 10, the 2020 Proof Set, was previously in the sales report.
The number one selling product for the Mint last week was the new 2020 Basketball Hall of Fame Silver Proof curved commemorative coin. 44,215 of them were sold during its first week of availability and was by far the most popular product for the Mint. In second, the Hall of Fame Kid Set, sold an impressive 20,280 units but clearly was a distant second to the Silver Proof curved coin.
In third was the new Basketball Hall of Fame Clad Proof Curved Coin. A total of 18,312 of these were sold during the week ending June 7, 2020. The fourth best selling product for the Mint last week was the new 2020 Kennedy Half Dollar 2-Roll set. The set, a roll of the Half Dollar from both the Philadelphia and Denver Mint locations, sold 14,412 units for the week. Indeed, the other Kennedy Half Dollar product released last week, the 200-coin bag, was also in the Top 10. It was in ninth position and sold 3,245 units.
