The United States Mint has opened up sales of the 3-coin Uncirculated set of Weir Farm National Historic Site America the Beautiful Quarters. The placard has an Uncirculated specimen from the Denver, Philadelphia, and San Francisco Mints with the Mint’s Certificate of Authenticity on the back of the card. It is priced at $11.50 and available directly from the Mint.
The Weir Farm set is the second such set sold by the Mint this year, following up on the American Samoa set that was available starting in February. As with the Samoa set, there is no limit on the number of the Weir Farm sets that you can purchase. Further, there are no mint production limit on these sets.
Weir Farm National Historic Site is associated with the development of American Impressionism during the height of the artistic movement at the end of the 19th century. The park was home to three generations of American artists beginning with Julian Alden Weir, who acquired the farm in 1882.
