The United States Mint has released its weekly sales report for the 7-day period ending June 28, 2020. The report, while showing overall sales were weak, indicates that Mint annual products remain in-demand items by collectors.
The top selling item was the 2020 Proof Set. An impressive 7,342 of the sets were sold in the past week, pushing the total sales of the set to 296,106. It was by far the highest selling product for the week, selling nearly double the units as the second place 2020 Silver Proof Set. That set sold 4,435 additional units this week. That puts its annual total up to 225,250.
The third best selling item for the Mint this past week was the 2020 Basketball Hall of Fame Silver Proof Curved Coin. 1,400 of the coins were sold for the week ending June 28, 2020, pushing its total sales to just under 55,000 (54,486). It was one of two Basketball Hall of Fame products to make it into the top ten this week, with the Clad Proof Curved Coin being the seventh best seller for the week.
