The United States Mint will open up sales of the 2020 America the Beautiful Quarters Circulating Coin Sets today on the Mint’s website. The sets will go on sale at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific and is priced at $10.00. The 10-coin set includes this year’s American the Beautiful Quarters, with one specimen of each of the five Quarters from the Denver and Philadelphia Mints. The 2020 set features America the Beautiful Quarters honoring the National Park of American Samoa; Weir Farm National Historic Site in Connecticut; Salt River Bay National Historical Park and Ecological Preserve in the U.S. Virgin Islands; Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park in Vermont; and Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in Kansas.
As with other circulating coin products, the Mint does not have a production or mintage limit for this set. Further, there are no household limits on the number you can purchase and they should remain available throughout the rest of this year. Each set will come in blister packaging as seen in the photo above along with a storage envelope. Note that the set includes the 5 ATB Quarters from the Denver and Philadelphia Mints. It does not include the proof varieties from the San Francisco Mint.
2020 represents the last full year for the America the Beautiful Quarter series which started in 2010. In 2021, only one coin will be released in the series. in 2022, the Quarter will revert back to its original Obverse (often referred to as the Flanagan design for its original designer) with a one-off Reverse of General George Washington crossing the Delaware River.
