2020 American Innovation Dollar Proof Set Sales Begin Today

The United States Mint will begin sales of the 2020 American Innovation Dollar Proof Set later today. Sales will begin at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific with the set priced at $24.00. The set contains all four of the American Innovation Dollar coins that have been or will be released this year in one lens. All four of the proof coins are minted at the San Francisco Mint.

The 2020 American Innovation $1 Coin Proof Set features four stunning coins celebrating and honoring significant American innovation and pioneering efforts of individuals or groups in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, and South Carolina.

Although the American Innovation Dollar is not released into general circulation, the Mint considers the coin a circulation coin. Therefore, there will be no production or mintage limits of this proof set. Further, when purchasing the set, there are no household limits on the number that you can purchase. The set should remain available throughout the rest of 2020.

2020 represents the third year for the American Innovation Dollar series and the second full time year. 2018 saw the initial coin in the series released while 2019 saw what will be the standard four released. The series is slated to go through 2032 with a total of 57 coins to be minted. None of the coins will be released for general circulation.
