May 1st marks the second anniversary of the founding of USCoinNews.com. It has been a truly amazing experience and I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has visited or continually visits the site. When I started this site, I was not sure what to expect. In the past, I had two very successful sites (AlliOSNews.com (now owned by someone else) and AverageAppleGuy.com (owned by me but no longer updated)) that were focused on Apple technology and news. I had been writing in the mobile tech space for over 20 years but a site about coin collecting was a complete unknown to me despite being in the hobby for 35 years.
Looking back now as the second anniversary rolls around, I can honestly say this has been the most fun of any site I’ve been involved with over the years. The numismatic community is truly second-to-none and the interactions I’ve had with so many of you over these past two years has been amazing. I receive emails or comments on the site nearly everyday, something I had never experienced on any of my other sites. I cannot wait until coin shows are back in vogue and I can actually meet some of you face-to-face.
With this post, there have now been 1,117 articles posted on USCoinNews.com in the past two years and the site has been visited just shy of 2 million times in that time. The most popular article, by far, over the past two years has been one of the very first articles published on a second 1982-D Small Date Lincoln Cent discovery. Also, the Coin History articles have been a big hit. Thank you for reading them and thanks to those of you who have dropped a note with suggestions on the next one. As you saw on Twitter yesterday, the history of the Franklin Half Dollar is coming in May or June.
For now, I simply want to say thanks. Thanks for visiting, thanks for linking, thanks for commenting (drrichard, I’m looking at you Mr. Consistent Commenter!), thanks for everything. This site truly wouldn’t be the same without all of you.

Ha! Thanks.
