2021 “CC” and “O” Privy Mark Morgan Dollar Pre-Orders Begin Today at Noon Eastern

One of the most anticipated releases from the United States Mint will be available for pre-order starting today. The 2021 “CC” and “O” privy Morgan Dollars will be available for pro-orders later today. Pre-orders will open up at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific on the Mint’s site. The “CC” privy mark pays homage to the Carson City Mint where the Morgan Dollars were originally struck. Likewise, the “O” honors the New Orleans Mint. Of the various Morgan and Peace Dollars set for release this year, the 100th anniversary of the Morgan’s minting ending and the Peace’s beginning, these two privy mark coins are likely the two most sought after by collectors.

Pre-orders will be accepted between May 24 to June 7 or until inventory is depleted. There will only be 175,000 of each coin produced and the Mint has set a high household limit of 10 coins. This, however, is an improvement as the Mint originally set the limit at 25. A vocal numismatic community was heard by the Mint and the limit was lowered. Also bare in mind that this is a pre-order to assure you get one of these coins. The actual shipping of the coin will not occur until October.
