The United States Mint has released its weekly numismatic sales report for the seven-day period ending on Sunday, February 6, 2022. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. In this week’s report, the Mint indicated that 10,368 numismatic products were sold. This is up from the just over 6,000 products sold according to last week’s report. This week, the Mint also made a significant edit to the weekly report, removing nearly 100 products that are no longer available for purchase.
As for this week’s top selling products, the top ten was largely dominated by the new Negro Leagues Baseball commemoratives. Six of the top ten selling products reported by the Mint last week were these new commemorative products, including the top selling Proof Silver Dollar. 1,408 of the commemorative dollars were sold last week, pushing its total sales since its release to 13,131. This was followed closely by the Proof Silver Dollar & Jackie Robinson Silver Medal Set which had a reported 1,206 sets sold and the Proof Half Dollar with 1,203 coins sold.
The 2021 annual products also continued to sell way as they remain available from the Mint. According to the Mint’s sales report, 890 2021 Proof Sets were sold last week, making it the fourth best seller. Rounding out the top five in sales was the 2021 Uncirculated Coin Set with 689 sets sold. This was followed closely by the premium Silver Proof Set with 665 sets sold.
