The United States Mint has released its weekly numismatic sales report for the seven-day period ending on Sunday, May 15, 2022. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. For the year, the Mint has now sold 9,797,156 numismatic products to collectors and investors.
The top selling product for the Mint last week was also its latest release: The 2022-W American Buffalo proof gold coin. The Mint reported that 11,495 of the 16,000 available were sold in its first week of availability. According to the Mint’s site as of this morning, the coin remains available for purchase. In a distant second sales position was the 2022 Proof Set. The standard annual set saw 4,985 sets sold in the last week, pushing overall sales to 242,342.
