The United States Mint has released its weekly numismatic sales report for the seven-day period ending on Sunday, August 7, 2022. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. This week’s report shows that the Mint sold 21,665 numismatic products to collectors and investors, up slightly from last week’s sales report.
Taking the top selling product slot for the second consecutive week was the 2022 Proof Set. According to the Mint’s report, 7,701 sets were sold in the past week, pushing total sales to 307,382. This was followed by the premium 2022 Silver Proof Set with 2,564 sets sold. That set has now sold 184,180 sets. Taking the third top seller position was the uncirculated 2022-W American Eagle with 2,247 coins sold.
One surprise in this week’s report was the sixth top seller, the 2017 American Liberty 1-Ounce 24-Karat coin. The coin is currently in a promotion from the Mint and has had a small bump in sales.
