The United States Mint has updated its weekly sales report for the seven day period ending Sunday, September 18, 2022. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. This week, the Mint reported total numismatic product sales of 3,943 products, a significant from the previous week’s report. According to the Mint’s report, 31,405 numismatic products were sold last week to collectors and investors. In looking at the top ten selling items, it is a mix of 2022 releases as well as 2021 annual products.
The top selling product last week was the 2022 Proof Set, with 10,989 sets sold. That puts total sales of the standard annual set at 336,994. In second was the 2022 Uncirculated Set with 4,437 sets sold, while in third was the premium 2022 Silver Proof Set with 4,008 sets sold.
The fourth, fifth, and sixth top sellers last week were also annual releases from the United States Mint, but from 2021. The fourth top seller was the 2021 Silver Proof set with 2,479 sets sold, while fifth was the 2021 Proof Set (1,897) and the 2021 Uncirculated set was six with 1,514 sets sold.
