The United States Mint has updated its weekly sales report for the seven days ending Sunday, October 23, 2022. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. This week’s report shows that the Mint had reported sales of 20,829 numismatic products. The United States Mint has sold 11,104,736 numismatic products to collectors for the year.
Last week’s top-selling product for the United States Mint was the 2022 Proof Set. According to the Mint’s report, 5,996 sets were sold last week. That puts total sales of the popular annual set at nearly 370,000 (369,799) for the year. The second and third top sellers were also the Mint’s newest releases. The second top seller was the 2022 United States Mint Holiday Ornament, with 3,311 sold, while in third was the 2022 Might Minters Holiday Ornament. The Mint reported that 2,624 of the Minty Minters Ornament were sold in its first week of availability.
Last week, the fourth and fifth top sellers for the Mint were also annual sets released this year. The premium 2022 Silver Proof Set added another 1,977 sets to its sales total, which now stands at 208,281 for 2022. Meanwhile, the 2022 Uncirculated Coin set was close behind, with 1,794 sets sold. That puts the total sales of the uncirculated set at 189.285.
