Final Day to Purchase 2022 Commemorative Coins From The United States Mint

Today, December 28, 2022, is the final day that you will be able to purchase 2022 Commemorative coins from the United States Mint. The Mint released two commemorative coin series this year, the Negro Leagues Baseball series and the Purple Heart Hall of Honor series. While both series have some coins that have sold out, both have a range of coins still available for purchase.

For the 2022 National Purple Hear Hall of Honor commemoratives, the following coins are still available:

  • 2022-W $5 Gold Proof
  • 2022-W $5 Gold Uncirculated
  • 2022-W Silver Dollar Proof
  • 2022-W Silver Dollar Uncirculated
  • 2022-S Half Dollar Proof
  • 2022-D Half Dollar Uncirculated
  • 2022 Three-Coin Proof Set

As for the 2022 Negro Leagues Baseball commemoratives, the following coins are still available:

Prices for these 2022 commemorative coins includes surcharges in the amounts $35 for the gold coins, $10 for the silver dollars and $5 for the clad half dollars. The surcharges for the Purple Heart Hall of Honor coins are paid to the National Purple Heart Honor Mission while the surcharges for the Negro Leagues Baseball coins are paid to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.
