The United States Mint has released its weekly Numismatic Product Sales Report for the seven days ending March 19, 2023. The report covers numismatic product sales by the Mint, such as commemorative coins and annual sets. It is separate from the bullion sales report.
This week’s report is unique in that the Mint reported sales of products yet had overall negative sales. According to the report, the United States Mint’s net-new sales were -1,574 products. This was primarily driven by the Mint or customers canceling over 12,000 2023-W American Eagle Silver Proof coin purchases. That said, there were plenty of actual sales for the Mint this week, topped by the 2023 Congratulations Set. The Mint reported that 4,946 of the silver American Eagle-based sets were sold last week. Taking the second best seller’s position was the 2023-W American Eagle Platinum Proof with 1,047 coins sold. Finally, the 2022 Uncirculated coin set was the third best seller.
Here is a breakdown of the top ten selling products for the Mint last week.
