The United States Mint has released its weekly Numismatic Product Sales Report for the seven days ending April 16, 2023. The report covers numismatic product sales by the Mint, such as commemorative coins and annual sets. It is separate from the bullion sales report. According to this week’s report, The Mint sold 41,810 numismatic products in the past week, largely dominated by the Mint’s newest product releases.
Indeed, for the first time this year, all of the top ten selling products last week were 2023 released products.
The top-selling product for last week was the 2023-W American Eagle silver proof coin. Another 9,421 of the one-ounce coins were sold last week, putting total sales over 370,000 (372,332). It was followed closely by the 2023-W American Buffalo gold proof in its first week of availability. The one-ounce proof had a reported sales of 8,305.
The latest American Innovation dollar, honoring Louisiana, occupied four of last week’s top ten sales totals. The 25-coin rolls and 100-coin bags were the third through sixth top sellers in their first week of availability.
