Indiana American Innovation Dollar Sales Begin June 26

The United States Mint will begin selling the latest American Innovation Dollar, honoring Indiana, next week. The dollar coin will be available in bags and rolls directly from the Mint starting at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific next Monday. All of the products have low production limits and no more than 10 products can be purchased by a household.

The Indiana American Innovation $1 Coin reverse (tails) design features a series of vehicles that showcase Indiana innovations from yesterday and today. From top to bottom, the design includes an early-style gas automobile, a representation of classic car production, and a recent model of an Indy-style race car.

As has been the case with previous American Innovation Dollar releases, four products will be available.

  • 25-Coin Roll (Philadelphia) – $34.50
  • 25-Coin Roll (Denver) – $34.50
  • 100-Coin Bag (Philadelphia) – $117.50
  • 100-Coin Bag (Denver) – $117.50

Production limits of the 25-coin rolls and 100-coin bags are low, and availability will be limited. Further, the Mint has limited each product to a household limit of 10 on each product. However, unlike the 2022 American Innovation Dollar products, these bags and rolls are expected to be available next Monday, albeit limited, with many already claimed as part of the Mint’s subscription program for the American Innovation Dollar series. If you are subscribed to the program, you should have already received an email from the Mint to confirm your shipping & billing details.

The new American Innovation Dollar coin came about through legislation passed in 2018 and is set to run through 2032. There will be 57 coins released in the program, with the first one released on December 14, 2018. However, that coin was an introductory coin to show the coin off to the public and was never released for circulation.
